EvoWeb upgrade

On 21 October 2002 EvoWeb received a major upgrade. Not much has
changed on the surface, but there has been plenty of
'under-the-bonnet' changes and some important new features have been
added. Below are some of the main new features:

- The header area features a re-written menu script. The new script is
faster, more compatible, and provides direct access to sub-sections.
It is also now much easier to turn the menus off if you prefer. Just
look for the 'Turn menus off' option in the black site tools menu
that appears in the top right corner of every page.

- We have added a new competition announcements section to the news
section.

- The book, Evolution at work case study and software databases in the
resources section are now browsable buy author or contact person.

- In the membership section we have upgraded your personal
membership page so it now features all the latest news items and
announcements filtered by your personal selection of subject
categories. Why not book mark your membership page and use it and
use it as your personal EvoWeb home page? You membership page also
now lists any books, journals, Evolution at work case studies and
software associated with your name.

- We have also upgraded the membership application forms to make
them compatible with a wide range of browser/platform combinations.

Remember that EvoWeb depends on your contributions, so please tell
us about your news, jobs, courses, conferences, competitions,
books, journals, software, web links, etc, etc.
